The shopping mall and office building sited in the Berlin district Lichtenberg, opposite of the "Tierpark" was erected in 1996/97. The reputable Hamburg firm of architects Markovic, Ronai, Lütjen and partners planned the project. The project won first prize in a competition in urban development in 1992. However, during the construction work, when the euphoria in former East Germany abated, the project turned out to need new planning.A well-known bank dealing with mortgage business commissioned our office to prepare investigations on the project and to draw a feasibility study. The investigation pointed out that, because of a renewed building law,a purposeful development plan was necessary to revise the project. We finally got the commission to prepare the necessary measurements. Already in the state of investigation, the owner of the property entrusted P.A.R.A.D. with central management of the site and the control and administration of the property.
