We had to prepare a plan for the only remaining vacant plot of land at the historic "Luisenplatz" in Potsdam, sited next to the park of the palace "Sanssouci" and only 150 m away from the "Grünes Gitter" (entrance of the avenue towards the palace garden and "Sanssouci"). Feasibility studies showed that Potsdam had a need for centrally located, low-priced hotel rooms.The demands of buildings under a preservation order were fulfilled and also the requirements of the foundation "palaces and gardens", the"neighbourhood law" and the building control department. When finished, the low budget hotel will offer 125 rooms, gastronomic business, flats and conference rooms. The construction cost is approx. € 13 million.
